Longchenpa

Longchenpa (tib. ཀློང་ཆེན་པ་, wyl. klong chen pa), also known as Longchen Rabjam (tib. ཀློང་ཆེན་རབ་འབྱམས་, wyl. klong chen rab 'byams), or Drimé Özer (1308-1364), is one of the most brilliant and revered teachers of the Nyingma lineage. He systematized the Nyingma teachings in his Seven Treasures and wrote extensively on the Dzogchen Teachings. He also transmitted the Longchen Nyingtik terma cycle of teachings and practice to Jigmé Lingpa, that has since become some of the most widely practiced teachings of the Nyingma Lineage. 

 

འཛམ་གླིང་མཛེས་པའི་རྒྱན་དྲུག་མཆོག་གཉིས་དང༌། །

Equal to the six ornaments of our world, and the Two Supreme Ones.

ཐུགས་རྗེ་ལུང་རྟོགས་མཉམ་པའི་མཐུ་མངའ་ཡང༌། །

Endowed with compassion, learning, and realization.

ནགས་ཁྲོད་དམ་པར་སྦས་པའི་བརྟུལ་ཞུགས་ཀྱིས། །

By practicing secretly in sacred forests,

འཁོར་འདས་ཆོས་སྐུར་རྫོགས་པའི་ཀློང་ཆེན་པ། །

You consummated samsara and nirvana in the Dharmakaya.

དྲི་མེད་འོད་ཟེར་ཞབས་ལ་གསོལ་བ་འདེབས།། །།
